Namsai, Arunachal Pradesh – In a significant breakthrough, the Arunachal Pradesh Police have dismantled a sophisticated scam involving the use of counterfeit Permanent Resident Certificates (PRCs) to secure government employment. The elaborate scheme centered on illicitly obtaining positions within the Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB)'s 64th Battalion.
Authorities have confirmed the apprehension of two prime suspects from Uttar Pradesh in connection with the fraudulent activities. The individuals, identified as Dheeraj Kumar and Shivam Parihar, also known by the alias Nagendra Singh, were taken into custody following a meticulous investigation.
The operation saw a dedicated team from the Arunachal Pradesh Police, spearheaded by SI Aditya Chandra, SI (SG) M. Prasad, and SI (SG) D.K. Singh, travel to Uttar Pradesh to execute the arrests. This decisive action underscores the police force's unwavering commitment to upholding legal standards and ensuring the integrity of official systems.
